Coree Entwistle
Coree Entwistle is second generation back-to-the-lander,
having called the Tennessee hills her home since she was an infant. As a teenager, she began to hang around Long Hungry Creek Farm, trying to figure out what all this thinking, feeling, and willing was about. After a solid round of national and international travels, she convinced her husband to return to the land and raise kids in the forest. They run a solar homestead and goat dairy right here in Macon County. In her spare time, Coree is pursuing her masters in public health and doing some technical writing.
Coree’s Workshop
Young Farmers, twenty years later.
At this conference about twenty years ago, we had a loose panel discussion among the young farmers in the community. It was a good session, and we’d like to revisit it, with as many of those same “young farmers” twenty years later. Let’s talk about our trajectory over the past twenty years, explore our relationship to our farms and farming in the present, and reflect on the next twenty years. This could be a valuable discussion for growers and aspiring growers of all ages.
