The 100 Year Anniversary
of the Agriculture Course:
A Festival and Re-Enactment

The 100 Year Celebration and Re-Enactment of the Agriculture Course

If you are reading this page, then you have probably been influenced by the ideas put forth by Rudolf Steiner 100 years ago. We are grateful for the tremendous breadth and depth of thought and heart brought forth by Dr. Steiner, and for the continuing influence of the Agriculture Course in our own lives and in the global community of farmers and stewards.

In the spirit of honoring those works and celebrating their goodness, we invite you to join us, beginning on Friday, October 4, as we read each of the Agriculture lectures aloud and discuss the meaning and impact of biodynamic farming. Following the path set forth with the Whitsun event 100 years ago, we will also work our way through the Karmic lectures, and hopefully the lectures for youth as well. We are attracting a multidisciplinary crowd for this in-depth exploration and celebration, including farmers, eurythmists, scientists, physicians, and more.

Some Details

This is a free-will event. We understand that it’s not an easy feat for most of us to leave our homes and farms for an extended period. Thus, there is no set fee for attendance, and no time frame in which you are required to commit to staying. We hope you will come when you can and stay as long as you like.

Primitive camping, car camping, and RV parking are available on the farm for free. There are indoor toilets and spring water at the main camping spot. There aren’t any plugins or hookups available anywhere on the farm. Please, no dogs.

For those seeking some more creature comforts, there are options available in Red Boiling Springs. Rooms are available in the nearby town of Red Boiling Springs for a very reasonable rate with our friends at the Armour’s Hotel and Spa. This historic hotel is a long-time friend of the farm and offers wonderful hospitality. Breakfast and dinner will be provided to all guests. Their mineral baths are a treat, too. Please call them to book your room now, and be sure to let them know that you are coming to the conference/re-enactment.

Lunch will be served on the farm each day, following the lecture. All event participants will pitch in to create a simple meal with local food (sandwiches, salads, maybe soup if the weather is chilly).

We need to know if you are intending to come. Please use the provided form to let us know your intentions.
